The Chinese- Eaten pasta as far back as 5000 BC.
The origins of ‘macaroni; in Italy go back as far as the time of the Ancient Romans who gave the credit to the ‘Gods’
History of Pasta
What is pasta made from?

  • The word pasta comes from the Italian word for paste, meaning a combination of flour and water
  • Top quality pasta is made from durum wheat semolina (flour).
  • When pasta is made the aim is to convert the flour of the durum wheat semolina into an product we can eat.

Kneading Techniques “Working the Dough” Kneading is one of the most known terms in baking, but do you really understand its importance.  Could you recognize if you have a well kneaded product? First Day of School!!!!

I am so excited to begin school tomorrow!!!!!!!! I decided to have this showing as students walked in the door to get them excited for what they will be able to accomplish this semester :) Lets look back at last year: I have been planning most of the day today trying to get my lessons planned for the nine weeks.
